McDuh! McDonald’s Tells Employees Not to Eat Fast Food Because it’s Unhealthy

McDonalds' McResource Line has offered employees some interesting advice in the past: From 'Go apply for food stamps, since we don't pay you enough' to survive' to 'take two vacations a year on what we pay you' to 'If you are hungry, break your food up into smaller bits so you feel more full'--oh, and amazing budgeting advice get a second job. It also offers helpful advice on how much employees should tip their pool boy and dock attendants.
Ronald McDonald has offered yet another "helpful" bit of advice to its employees via its awesome resource site. The latest McDoozie encourages employees, through an infographic that shows a typical McDonalds meal of fries, a burger, and a coke, tells employees that they should avoid fast food. It is, according to the site, "almost always high in calories, fat, sugar, and salt."

"It is hard to eat a healthy diet when you eat at fast-food restaurants often," the site continues, "Many foods are cooked with a lot of fat, even if they are not trans fats. Many fast-food restaurants do not offer any lower-fat foods. Large portions also make it easy to overeat. And most fast food restaurants do not offer many fresh fruits and vegetables."
So, basically, employees should not eat at McDonalds.

"Portions of this website continue to be taken entirely out of context," McDonald's offered in a statement on Monday afternoon, asserting that "This website provides useful information from respected third-parties about many topics, among them health and wellness. It also includes information from experts about healthy eating and making balanced choices. McDonald's agrees with this advice."
The company added that it has increased the number of "healthy" menu options in recent years.
