IDF abandoned illegal settlement, leaving criminals behind to defend themselves.......

Residents of the Nativ Hasarah community on the Gaza border are angry after the fighters stationed in the area left last night without informing them. Apparently, the soldiers left after their replacements did not show up. "The army told us it was a mistake, but it's really serious," said one resident. The same incident occurred in Kfar Aza on Friday.

Residents of Nativ Hasarah in the Western Negev, adjacent to the security fence with the Gaza Strip, were surprised last nightto find the Nahal forces stationed there to guard the community left – when no other IDF forces came to replace them. A military source said, "There is a Givati unit stationed outside the community that is guarding the residents.”
Sources from Nativ Hasarah say they contacted the division and brigade headquarters after discovering the soldiers left, and they told them it was a mistake.  Apparently, the soldiers who were supposed to replace them did not come in time.
Chairman of the local committee of Nativ Hasarah, Penina Ragolsky who is responsible for security said that the army is reviewing the matter.  "Senior commanders did not seem to know what was going on, they promised us we would have forces in the community at all times and there's no one here, what’s going on? How does that happen? - This is a serious mistake.”  Regarding IDF allegations that soldiers are outside the village she said:" There is no such thing as this; ‘outside of the village’ is Gaza.  They currently are not guarding us.”
"It is a serious thing to me that they just got up and left without saying anything and we stayed here exposed," said one resident. "Many people are aware of this since this morning and they are overwhelmed.  It is not clear how it happened, and so soon after the operation."
Another resident said: "I did not expect something like this to happen, I really do not believe it. And when we speak, no one will come." A similar incident happened in Kfar Aza on Friday, when soldiers left suddenly without prior notice - only to be replaced a day later.
The IDF has not yet sent a response.
