Israel and Hamas agree to a 12-hour cease-fire

As condemnation against the Israeli rejection of U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry's terms for a cease-fire rose, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agreed to a 12-hour “humanitarian pause” in fighting with Hamas, which could begin as early as Saturday morning.

Hamas announced it would also abide by the 12-hour pause.
