Mary Monaghan, 64, from Massachusetts, was two when she was taken from her Irish mother and sent to live with an American couple in California. But Ms Monaghan's adoptive father, William O'Brien, turned out to be a brutal paedophile who sexually abused her throughout her childhood leaving her suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and flashbacks.
