Chronically lonely, love-starved, in need of excitement or lured by the bad boy glamour of a real life criminal, married convicted murderer Lyle Menendez has found himself a man.
It's been 18 years since the Menedez brothers were convicted for the 1989 murder of their parents in the den of their Beverly Hills mansion, and although it's safe to bet that the years have been far from kind to the pair, recent allegations made by a former fellow inmate show that brother Lyle has been keeping himself busy behind bars -- with two wives and an ex-gang member named "Chino."
"One day I looked in Lyle's cell, I was shocked to see him lying in a bunk, hugged up with Chino," Eugene L. Weems, an author who was serving time with Menendez told the National Enquirer.
According to Weems, Chino is an attractive 5-foot-8 Hispanic ex-gang member with an athletic build.
"He quickly hopped up once he saw me standing at his cell door. He began apologizing to me and asked me not to say anything about what I had seen." He added that Lyle bribed him to keep quiet with gifts from the prison canteen.Proving the old adage that there is no honor among thieves (or in Menendez' case - murderers), Weems, published this tidbit in his book "Prison Secrets: The Untold Truths About One of America's Most Notorious Murderers."
This information did not sit well with Menendez's second wife, magazine editor turned lawyer, Rebecca Sneed.
"His wife was hysterical - she didn't know he was gay," Weems said to the Enquirer. "She was talking about divorcing him, and he told her I was lying."
Menendez, who previously had been married to Playboy Playmate Anna Eriksson, married Sneed in 2003.
Whether Menendez will stay with prison lover Chino remains unclear. What is certain, is that he isn't going anywhere anytime soon. He is currently serving a life sentence without parole in Mule Creek State Prison in California
