The mystery of the 'Devil's Bible': Sinister drawing inside 'cursed' medieval manuscript that legend says was drawn by Lucifer himself
The mysterious manuscript is today housed within the
National Library of Sweden in Stockholm and includes a menacing
full-page colour image of the Devil. How it was created is still
unknown. Legend has it that a monk from the Middle Ages was sentenced to
being walled up alive for breaking his monastic vows. He made a pact
with the devil to complete the text for him. Extensive handwriting
analysis has confirmed that one scribe did compose the entire manuscript
