Palestinian teen executed during arrest

Palestinian teen executed during arrest

Palestinian teenager Muhammad Abu Latifa was “executed” during an arrest raid in the Qalandiya refugee camp on Monday, his family said, refuting claims that he fell from a rooftop while being chased by Israeli forces.
The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) shot and killed him at dawn Monday after brutally storming Qalandia refugee camp near Ramallah, medics said.
The Palestinian teen Mouhamed Abu Latifa, 18, was shot dead after Israeli soldiers stormed his home and tried to detain him, the sources told the PIC reporter.
Israeli media sources claimed that IOF soldiers opened their fire at the teenager as he attempted to run away by jumping from the rooftop.
However, Muhammad’s uncle, Jamal Abu Latifa, refuted the IOF statement, saying that Israeli soldiers detained Muhammad after shooting him in the feet.
“He was chased at 5:30 a.m., shot in the feet then arrested alive. Surprisingly, the IOF shot him in the chest, then tied him with electricity wires and we have evidence that some of his body parts were fractured as a result of the assault by soldiers,” he told Ma’an.
Jamal Abu Latifa, an official in a local camp committee, added that Muhammad did not fall from a rooftop and was not wanted by IOF for any reason.
“The occupation army executed Muhammad after they detained him.”
Eyewitnesses affirmed that Abu Latifa was arrested despite his critical injuries and then delivered to the Palestinian Red Crescent a dead body.
