Shy Shelter Dog Has The Best Reaction To Being Adopted

Shy Shelter Dog Has The Best Reaction To Being Adopted [Watch]

This adorable pup didn’t know what to think when he had visitors but became elated when he realized he was being adopted.

In many nations across the world, an alarming number of cats and dogs are euthanized before they are able to find their furrever home. In the United States, for example, 2.4 million cats and dogs are put down every year, which is about  one every thirteen seconds. Fortunately, some animals get to experience the miracle of adoption, and 8-month-old Benny is one of them. The young pit bull was one of the many abandoned dogs being cared for at Carson Animal Care Center, a high-kill shelter, in Gardena, California. For weeks, nobody was interested in adopting the shy but sweet pup – until the right family came along.

On December 10th, Benny’s life was spared. You can see in the video above how excited the adorable pup became when he realized he was leaving the shelter for good. Before you adopt a furry friend from a pet store or a breeder, consider rescuing a lovely dog or cat from a local shelter. You could make them as happy as Benny, and benefit greatly in the process.
