LAPD will receive extra resources after slayings of Baton Rouge officers

The LAPD will receive additional support in the wake of the fatal shootings of three Baton Rouge officers, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti announced today.
Under the move, the LAPD will increase the number of helicopters on patrol, shift Metropolitan Division officers to help back up patrol officers and ramp up the screening of 911 calls.
