Canal Pride in Amsterdam, the Netherlands

Yesterday we had the annual gay pride canal parade in Amsterdam, and Google/ YouTube were also participating with a boat. The parade had a life stream on YouTube as well. You can find many clips of this year's parade, and previous ones on YouTube.

Besides the obvious participants in such a parade, there were others with their own boats like the police, the ministry of defense (with the minister on board), The Dutch national bank, the internal revenue service, political parties, Vodafone with international staff from rather gay unfriendly countries, and so on.

The parade also passed the Amsterdam settling of the world famous St. Petersburg (Russia) Hermitage museum. The building was proudly flying a huge rainbow flag :-).

Next year I expect to see a boat with Rich O'Shea spanking naughty models, and of course parents can hand him over their naughty sons as well. I'm afraid Sting's Amsterdam office is just a mailbox, so it wil be a bit difficult to have an after party there.
