Mugabe’s Shadowy Israeli Election “Fixers”

Mugabe consults with his top, and most feared, security officials

A few days ago I wrote a post about a shadowy Israeli security outfit named Nikuv, which provides election management for some of the most corrupt, tyrannical nations in Africa.  One of their best clients is Robert Mugabe, who’s just arranged to win his sixth (but who’s counting?) presidential election at the ripe old age of 90.  The leader of the Opposition, Morgan Tsvangirai, called the election a “huge farce.”  Not far from the truth.
Mugabe couldn’t have done it without the help of his good friends at Nikuv.  These are the folks who compile the election lists, register voters, determine who’s eligible and ineligible, count votes and declare the winner.  Oh I know there’s an official election commission that’s supposed to do that.  But who needs such things when your good friends and former Mossad agents have things so well in hand?
What’s that you say?  There’s an Opposition in Zimbabwe?  They even are reputed to have won an election in 2008?  C’mon.  These are mere formalities that any good ex-security agent can “work around.”
Nikuv is no Boy Scout troop.  They’re in it for the money.  They have a $13-million contract to run Zimbabwe’s elections.  They’ve done well for themselves with similar deals in Zambia, Nigeria, Angola and elsewhere.  But that’s just the official riches they get.  Mugabe is one of the most corrupt, brutal tyrants in Africa.  He and his military-security apparatus run blood diamond mines which churn out untold riches for the elite (well over $1.5 billion in 2010 alone).  I wouldn’t put it past our Israeli friends to skim a little cream off the top for themselves.  Say, a post-election bonus?
As I mentioned in that post, the founder of Nikuv, Emmanuel Entebi, is a former cyber-warrior from the IDF’s Unit 8200.  Another key figure in a closely related company, Dan Issacharoff, is former head of El Al security and also reputed to be a former Mossadnik.
I’ve just been reading two shocking articles containing further revelations about Zimbabwe’s crooked elections and the role of Nikuv in ensuring the “right” candidate wins.  The first is from the Daily Mail’s local correspondent:

Damning top-secret intelligence documents that expose Robert Mugabe’s plans to rig the forthcoming election in Zimbabwe and crush his political rivals have been handed to The Mail…
The dossier reveals in…Mugabe is plotting to steal millions of votes with massive and systematic ballot-rigging combined with widespread intimidation by party thugs.
…The documents explain how ‘unfavourable voting outcomes’ for the ruling Zanu-PF party will be ‘countered’ for a multi-million-pound fee to an Israeli company that has been helping the dictator for a decade.
…The documents, prepared for the head of Zimbabwe’s highly feared Central Intelligence Organisation and the Joint Operational Command (JOC), the body that oversees state security, contain [this] alarming disclosure.

• Nikuv International Projects, an Israeli firm, is being paid $13 million (£8.5 million) to manipulate voter registration, counter ‘unfavourable’ results and ‘neutralise’ opposition votes….

The leaked papers show a clear strategy led by security forces in alliance with the Chinese communist party and Nikuv to ‘neutralise hostile votes in urban areas’ where MDC support is highest.
Among the tactics are under-registering voters aged under 35 and over-registering older people, who are more likely to vote for Mugabe. They also discuss ‘parallel registration through party offices with strict advice from Nikuv International for statistical manoeuvring’.
Reports released last week by independent monitors confirmed the scale of Zanu-PF’s electoral corruption. In a country with a population of fewer than 13 million people, and an average life expectancy of 51, there were found to be 900,000 duplicate entries on the register, including 109,000 people aged over 100. ‘There might be five centenarians at best,’ one doctor confided.
Two million young people remain unregistered. The leaked documents disclose the electoral commission has orders to register fewer than ten people per day in some areas.

Nikuv deputy CEO, Amnon Peer’s Israeli passport–cloned or real?

Another article in Zimbabwe’s Independent chronicles the travels and exploits of Entebi and his deputy, Amnon Peer, who mysteriously flew from Israel to be at Mugabe’s side for a pre-election meeting lasting 90 minutes. Among those in attendance were all the nation’s military and security chiefs. Could you imagine why Barack Obama would need to meet the day before a presidential election with the heads of the FBI, CIA and the Joint Chiefs? Is this any way to run a dictatorship?
For those of you who remember the passport “cloning” that enabled the Mossad assassins to travel freely to and from Dubai during the operation to assassinate Mahmoud al-Mabouh, this passage may send a few chills down your spine:

Among many other activities, NIP [Nikuv] is also involved in the supply of the plastic identification cards in Zimbabwe as well as the production of e-passports (an advanced machine-readable passport which is highly secured and tamper-proof).

These, of course, would be skills mastered by the Mossad’s operatives in order to produce high-quality cloned documents to penetrate friendly and enemy countries.   Israel’s security personnel leave active service and set up private companies that often exploit their expertise both for profit and to benefit their comrades who remain behind.  One small example is the U.S. payment management company, Payoneer, whose debit cards were used by the al-Mabouh assassins during their travels.  That company was founded by another former Unit 8200 veteran.
It’s a dirty little business the Mossad’s engaged in.  Either they’re murdering Hamas gun dealers in hotel rooms or stealing elections for doddering old dictators.  What a legacy Israel’s intelligence agency offers the world!
