Crazy TEApublican Susanne Atanus Says God is Angry and on His Way (Video)
by Simone Sanner
Up-and-coming Republican shining star Susanne Atanus
(yes, that really is her name), who is running for the Illinois
gubernatorial seat that Jan Schakowsky (D) now holds, told the Chicago
Daily Herald that "God is angry" with Americans for "provoking him with
abortions and same-sex marriage and civil unions".
Atanus,
a self-professed "Christian," sat down on Monday with the Daily Herald
at an endorsement hearing and said, “I am a conservative Republican and I
believe in God first." God also controls the weather, said Atanus, and
tornadoes are His wrath. We here at AATTP will be sure to pass that
along to the Atheist who survived the Oklahoma tornado that killed so many others.
Atanus'
ranting continued. "God is angry. We are provoking him with abortions
and same-sex marriage and civil unions," she said. "Same-sex activity is
going to increase AIDS. If it’s in our military it will weaken our
military. We need to respect God."
Her
opponent in the Republican primary is no prize, either. David Earl
Williams III, a politically moderate Navy veteran, has a history of
alleged domestic violence. An ex-girlfriend filed a domestic violence
protection order against him, saying he stalked her online and tried to
get her fired by impersonating her online. Williams is currently
fighting the ruling.
Atanus
ran in the 9th District’s Republican primaries in 2010 and 2012. She
lost both primaries. Hopefully voters who feel the need to pinch their
noses to vote for one of these folks will cross party lines in the final
election.
