Appeals court clears way for marriage equality in Fla.
A three-judge panel of the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Wednesday
denied a request from Florida state officials to extend a stay on a
ruling that struck down the state's ban on marriage equality. The ban is
set to expire Jan. 5. State officials now have the option to request a stay from the U.S. Supreme Court. Washington Blade
