Giffords intern wins seat on local school board: Daniel Hernandez Jr., the openly gay 21-year-old intern for Rep. Gabrielle Giffords who was hailed as a hero for helping to save Giffords' life when she was shot in her Arizona congressional district, has been elected to his local school board in the Tucson area.
