Virginia OKs adoption discrimination against gays, lesbians
Private adoption agencies in Virginia acting on the state’s behalf will be allowed to discriminate against gays and lesbians seeking to become adoptive parents under rules passed this week by the Virginia Board of Social Services. The rules also allow discrimination based on political beliefs, religion and other personal characteristics. The Washington Post/The Associated Press (12/14)
