Bank Robber With Uzi Pistol Busts Himself with Facebook Selfie
by Richard Rowe
And
now, for another entry into AATTP's "Yes, These People Really Own Guns"
file -- a bank robber who busted himself with a selfie on Facebook.

The
gentleman in this picture is 21-year-old Jules Bahler, who recently
confessed to a string of three bank robberies in Michigan yesterday.
Bahler robbed two banks before he hit the Chemical Bank in Bay City
earlier this week; after walking up to the teller with the Uzi-style
machine pistol in this picture, he walked out with over $8,000 in the
first two robberies, and $7,000 on the last. And the Chemical bank
robbery was his last for a reason.
The
day before the Chemical robbery he posted the above and below pictures
on his Facebook page (where he's known as King Romeo), along with the
caption, ""Bought my first house And chopper today..lifes great."

Oh,
not for long, King Romeo. Even your buddy "King Machete" proved that he
saw this next part coming, when he commented:"U tripping brotha I
wouldn’t show that shit off like that cops be watching this shit
brotha."
Of
course, it's possible that Romeo would have gotten away with his prior
robberies anyway, had he not failed to heed King Machete's (properly
punctuated) advice, and not robbed the Chemical Bank the next day. But,
that he did, even after all 206 of his friends saw not only the very
distinctive, extended barrel machine pistol, but the EXACT CLOTHES that
Romeo would later use while robbing the bank.
That's right...he even wore the same clothes.
After
the robbery, a local police sergeant directed FBI agent Sean Callaghan
to King Romeo's page, after which the agent sent a team to watch him.
The apprehended Bahler during a traffic stop after he left his home, and
guess what they found in a black duffel bag at his feet.
Yup.
Bahler
immediately waived his Miranda rights, and confessed to all three
robberies. But not before sending out one last Facebook post on his
smartphone (sic): "Fleelin like damn"
King Machete declined to comment, but he was most likely fleelin like "I told you so."

Note:
The gun in the picture isn't a real full-auto Uzi; it's one of the many
semi-auto knockoffs of the gun commonly available online or at gun
shops, and likely fires .22 LR rounds. Sale of a weapon like this
(high-capacity magazine aside) falls under the same auspices as any
other semi-auto pistol. Word isn't out yet about whether or not he
acquired the gun legally, but the fact that he's showing it off on
Facebook would suggest so. But in King Romeo's case, that obviously
doesn't mean much.
