S&P agency downgrades Poland's rating

The Standard & Poor's agency downgraded Poland's economic rating Friday, from A- to BBB+, with a negative perspective. Recent laws on the Constitutional Tribunal and public media “weaken the independence and effectiveness of key institutions," S&P said. On Wednesday, the EU opened a procedure to assess the new legislation.
