New Jersey bill allows medical pot for PTSD — will Gov. Christie approve it?
TRENTON, N.J.
— Republican Gov. Chris Christie will decide whether New Jersey
residents with post-traumatic stress disorder can be treated with
medical marijuana after lawmakers approved a measure Monday.
Lawmakers say the measure is meant to help military veterans diagnosed
with PTSD. “When it comes to PTSD, medical marijuana holds the promise
of providing significant relief as it does for many other illnesses and
conditions that are not easily treatable with traditional medication,”
says Democratic Assemblyman Tim Eustace.
