AL-KHALIL, (PIC)– The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) re-arrested on Tuesday a Palestinian liberated prisoner who served 23 years behind Israeli bars.
Sami Hussein, 43, was arrested while he was passing through Jaba checkpoint heading to Al Quds Open University in the town of Abu Dis near occupied Jerusalem, the Palestinian Prisoners Society (PPS) said.
The PPS condemned Hussein’s arrest especially that it came a few months after his release from Israeli jails where he spent 23 years in administrative detention.
For its part, Ahrar Center for Prisoners’ Studies denounced the arrest of the Hussein who is usually targeted by Israeli forces to be arrested and turned to administrative detention without any specific charge against him.
The center called on human rights organizations to intervene immediately to put an end to the Israeli violations against national figures and liberated detainees.
