SCOTUS to Virginia: Suck it! (no, really, go right ahead. It’s perfectly legal.)
The
Supreme Court on Monday refused to hear an appeal by the Attorney
General of Virginia, Ken Cuccinelli, of the 4th Circuit Court of
Appeal’s ruling that Virginia’s anti-sodomy laws were unconstitutional.Cuccinelli had maintained the law was aimed at adults who targeted minors, incapacitated adults, or non-consenting adults. Lower courts found the law overly broad, and struck it as unconstitutional.
