Westboro Church to Protest Mandela’s Funeral Because He Tried to Fight AIDS (Video)

For the last few decades, Westboro's been spreading its unique brand of universal hatred from the halls of Sandy Hook to the shores of California. But with Fred and Timothy Phelps' flock's plans to take thier Hater's Club Ball worldwide, you have to wonder whether Westboro has officially mutated from the Hate Cult it's always been, to the Suicide Cult it was always destined to become. Oh, dear, Toto...we're not in Kansas anymore.

While the world mourns the death of Nelson Mandela, who ended systematized segregation in South Africa, and who was the first black democratically elected in his nation, some (guess who) have predictably found reason to criticize him. The far Right has long branded him a (democratically elected) "Marxist terrorist," and none other than Dick Cheney echoed the notion. As though being called a "terrorist" by Dick Cheney weren't so perverted as to be considered the highest of compliments, hatred of the man they undoubtedly perceive as "Actually African Obama" has become so rabidly popular on the Right that not even Ted Cruz, FOX and Glenn Beck are allowed to say anything nice about him without getting ripped to shreds by hate-filled followers.

Riding the tide of bile, or perhaps just surfing its usual tsunami of sewage, Westboro Baptist managed to find some hatred of its own for Mandela. Not because of his Marxist politics, and not just because of his two divorces, either. No, Westboro's primary beef with Mandela has to do with the fact that he -- get this -- tried to stem the AIDS epidemic that's been ravaging his country for decades.

In a series of Tweets posted since Mandela's death, on December 5th, Timothy Phelps and Westboro announced their plans to book flights to south Africa and picket the funeral of Nelson Mandela. According to them, they've even coordinated with the local police, hiding like the cowards they are behind the protection of law enforcement officers who likely would have beaten them to death for being there some years ago -- if not for Nelson Mandela.

As a follow-up, Tim Phelps (champion rapist of the Ziggy Pig Challenge) posted this video on YouTube.

"Not one of you cared for that man's soul...[Mandela] pursued every lust of the flesh, and pride of the eyes, and the pride of life. He loved the praise of men, more than the praise of God.

Yes, Nelson Mandela dealt treacherously with Evelyn, the wife of his youth. And he is now, among other things, hearing in his burning ears: 'The LORD hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hath dealt treacherously.'

Against a backdrop reading "AIDS IS GOD'S CURSE," Phelps goes on to explain that Mandela is also going to Hell because he defied The Lord God by trying to help those perverts who had fallen victim to His righteous scourge upon homosexuals, and keep more of his nation from falling victim to the AIDS virus:

"And adultery is not the only insult that this grand globetrotter spat into the face of his creator. Nelson also showed his hatred for God by defying the divine recompense of God on the filthy sex practices of Nelson's countrymen.

AIDS is a curse from God Almighty on the Sodomites who inhabit the land. GRIDS (Gay Related Immune Deficiency Syndrome) is the accurate name of that disease, and it will not be cured. The Word proclaims it...and Nelson should have heeded...Instead, the rebel, Nelson Mandela has staked his name, his honor, his prestige, his personal power on the cause of defeating AIDS. What folly! He has now lost it all -- in Hell."

First, Tim: You know what "enabling" means, yes? You said in your Twitter post that Nelson is going to Hell for "enabling AIDS," and now he's going to Hell for...not enabling it enough? Jesus...this guy just can't win.

That aside, Pastor Tim might have a point when delivering his hate speech to the rest of the world (Russia, and his soul sister Putin), where homosexual transmission does account for about 90% of AIDS cases. But maybe Tim should heed this advice from the Good Book of AATTP: You'd better keep your mouth shut with that nonsense in South Africa, if you want to make it home. See, Tim, in South Africa, it's the other way around -- only 10 percent of AIDS cases have anything to do with homosexual activity. The rest are the result of hetereosexual transmission, botched blood transfusions, unsanitary living conditions, dirty needles and the like. So, God's Righteous Plague against the sodomites seems to have missed its mark slightly, and landed on the poor instead.

Or maybe God just forgot about Africa. It sure as Hell wouldn't be the first time.

But at least He sent Nelson Mandela.

That's a start.

You know, normally, I like complete assholes. I mean, the kind of asshole who's just utterly deliberate...a true hater who can find something awful to say or do to just about anybody. Just to say or do it. The world needs people like that...for perspective, if nothing else. Not just perspective on itself, but perspective on what tends to happen to people when they live lives on the doctrine of hate. Some call it Karma -- I call it Social Darwinism.

So, here's hoping Phelps and the gang make it safely to South Africa, that they arrive happy and well-rested, and make it downtown on time to raise those "Mandela's in HELL!" signs high above the crowd. Here's hoping, similarly, that they manage to do it right the middle of a large group AIDS-infected heterosexuals and family members of the virus' millions of victims. Shouldn't be too hard to find them -- about one out of every nine people in South Africa have HIV, and the other eight are related to or know the first one. Including Mandela's own son, who himself died of AIDS in 2005. Makgatho Mandela was heterosexual, a father of four who contracted it from his wife, who died in 2003.

So, yes...let's hope everyone in South Africa sees you hold those signs VERY high.

You know what? On second thought, don't worry about making it home, Westboro...I hear blood transfusions in South Africa are perfectly safe

Just remember...you're not in Kansas anymore.
