Secretary of State Kerry cancels meeting with Palestinian President Abbas

Secretary of State John F. Kerry is canceling plans to meet Wednesday with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, amid new threats from the Palestinian leader to circumvent U.S.-backed peace talks with Israel. Kerry had planned to make an emergency trip to Abbas's West Bank headquarters in hopes of announcing a breakthrough.
