The US population is getting more diverse, as the millennial generation
born after 1980 has been found to be the most racially diverse generation
in US history with approximately 43% being non-white. This is thought to
mainly be due to the increase in Hispanic and Asian immigrants to the US
since the mid-1960s who have adult children who were born in the country
and are US citizens. Nearly 50% of all newborns in 2014 were non-white and
the US Census projects racial diversity will to continue to grow: it is
estimated that the US will be majority non-white by the year 2043.
