Gianni Infantino is elected FIFA president

Gianni Infantino, a veteran European soccer official, was elected today to a four-year term as president of FIFA, replacing Sepp Blatter, who had run world soccer’s ruling body for 18 years.
FIFA delegates meeting in Zurich also approved a series of reforms for the scandal-plagued organization.
