A Texas judge on Monday unveiled new details about Supreme Court Justice
Antonin Scalia’s health in the days before his death. Presidio County
Judge Cinderela Guevara told the AP that Scalia’s doctor told her over
the phone that the justice had a history of heart trouble, high blood
pressure, and more recently was determined to not be strong enough to
have surgery for a shoulder injury. Guevara said she consulted with
Scalia’s personal physician on the day he was found dead in his room at a
Texas ranch. She also said Scalia appeared to have told some people at
the ranch that he wasn’t feeling well, according to her conversations
with Presidio County Sheriff Danny Dominguez and a U.S. Marshal.
