Outraged Over This ‘Gay’ Hilton Ad, Anti-LGBT Group Helps Make Ad Even More Visible
The anti-LGBT American Family Association is clutching
their pearls and expressing unspeakable outrage over a new ad for Hilton
hotels that features not one, but two grown men in bed together!
The AFA nearly fainted when they came across the ad in a copy of Travel + Leisure magazine, and fired off a statement on their website scolding the hotel chain.
“Hilton Worldwide shocked readers by placing a full-page ad that featured two men in bed together,” the statement reads. “If Hilton had advertised two men playing tennis, cards or having lunch, that would have been reasonable.”
“Travel and Leisure isn’t a gay-specific magazine sent directly to homosexual’s [sic] homes,” the AFA added. “It’s a widely distributed mainstream publication that can be found in many public places such as doctors’ or auto repair waiting rooms.”

Hilton is proudly standing behind their advertisement.
“Hilton Worldwide is a global company of diverse cultures serving diverse guests,” a Hilton spokesperson said. “We are proud to depict and reflect our guest diversity in our advertising.”
The AFA is demanding a face-to-face meeting with Hilton representatives to suggest they stick to more “family-friendly” advertisements in the future.
