CNN Has A GENIUS Flight 370 Theory: Maybe It Was Swallowed By A Black Hole? (Video)
by Josh Kilburn
Flight 370,
out Malaysia, vanished on March 8th. Where it vanished too and why it
vanished is still the subject of much speculation, but it seems like
everyone with access to an audience has their own opinions on what
caused it.
Not all of the theories are well though-out, and if you thought folks were nuts when they suggested the plan was on a secret jungle runway and President Obama did it,
you haven't heard anything yet. While fielding comments from Twitter,
Don Lemon, without a hint of incredulousness, suggested one of them
might have merit.
And
that comment, the one Don Lemon seemed to take rather seriously,
despite (rightly) mentioning how preposterous it sounded: "What about
black holes?"
Sure,
absolutely. It makes total sense, right? Black holes are mysterious,
what happened to Flight 370 is mysterious, it's like peanut butter and
chocolate (unless you're allergic to peanut butter). A match made in
heaven.
While
this comment hints at how dismal the science education is in this
country, wait until you hear what came next. Don Lemon fielded the
question to one of his guests, asking her for her thoughts.
Unfortunately, former Department of Transportation inspector Mary
Schiavo shared them, stating that it couldn't possible be a black hole
because, "... A small black hole will suck in our entire universe."
Nobody tell her that there's a super-massive black hole at the center of our galaxy, okay?
The
black hole theory makes a lot of sense if you squint really hard at it,
and turn off the part of your brain engaged in critical thinking. Just
make sure to turn that back on, otherwise you might end up voting for a
Teabagger.
