Police Shoot and Kill 6-Year-Old

A 6-year-old boy was killed by police gunfire during a shootout in Marksville, Lousiana on Tuesday night. City marshals opened fire on a car containing the boy and his father after the car was being pursued by police. The driver, Chris Few, was allegedly trying to run his car into a police vehicle before the police reportedly opened fire. A coroner identified the child as Jeremy David Mardis, and said that he was seated in the front passenger seat when he was shot multiple times. Few also sustained wounds, but is currently listed in critical condition.
