Eric Cantor’s Response to 9-Year-Old Girl Trying to Stop Her Father’s Deportation: ‘I Can’t Help You’

Eric Cantor’s Response to 9-Year-Old Girl Trying to Stop Her Father’s Deportation: ‘I Can’t Help You’

It's ever so easy to stab people in the back when you never have to look them in the eye; that's a lesson that GOP heavyweights from John Boehner to Eric Cantor are learning these days. You might remember Eric Cantor's name from a few months ago, when he led the Koch-funded coup d’état through the House Rules committee that essentially made him America's new corporate overlord.
These days, Eric -- whose Koch-funded Every Republican is Crucial PAC funds every Republican in the House -- decided to take a page from John Boehner's book and efficiently blow off little girls asking why their daddies are being deported. The scene is eerily similar to Boehner's earlier, more awkward run in with a pair of teens at a diner, who dared to question him on immigration reform while he ate his sandwich.
Fortunately for ERiC, this encounter wasn't long enough for him to feel awkward; like all sociopaths, he simply brushed the little girl off with barely an acknowledgement of her presence.
Liz Mazquez, a nine-year-old whose father is in danger of being deported, caught up with Cantor in the halls of the House. The obviously Hispanic little girl attempted to get Cantor's attention, but barely got the "Please..." out of her mouth before Cantor patted her and spoke what might have been the first honest words to come out of his mouth since birth:
"I can't help you. Good to see you"
The video was released by FIRM, the Fair Immigration Reform Movement:
As a basis for comparison, here's Boehner's similar encounter (and response) from last month. The only real difference is that Cantor, barely breaking his stride, did in about five seconds what took Boehner several minutes AND a sandwich. It's good to be the Overlord.
