Defiled and bloody, tethered to a tree, school uniforms ripped: How this 15-year-old boy rescued two girls from Boko Haram
Their faces scratched and bleeding, the two teenage girls were
found tethered to trees - left in the Nigerian bush to die by Islamist
terror group Boko Haram (leader Abubakar Shekau inset). Despite having
been raped and dragged through the bush, they were alive - but only
just. They were found a week after 276 girls (main) were taken from
their boarding school in the village of Ba'ale, an hour's drive from
Chibok. Here, BARBARA JONES speaks with Baba Goni, 15, (left) who found
the two abandoned girls. He too was taken by the group and held hostage
for two years before escaping and in this chilling account tells of Boko
Haram's reign of terror in the region.
