Mystery: Army infantryman Bernard Gavrin went missing during the Battle of Saipan in 1944 at the age of 31. The battle was part of America's Pacific campaign and lasted a bloody three weeks The family of a U.S. soldier Bernard Gavrin - who was reported missing during a brutal battle in 1944 - are hoping a set of worn World War II dog tags found in a cave in the South Pacific will lead them to his remains.
