Sammy Davis. Jr. was was subjected to racial injustice all his
life. As a child his father put him in black face and claimed he was
44-years-old midget so he could perform even though he was underage. In
the infantry he was beaten and had the N-word scrawled across his chest
in white paint. But when Frank Sinatra tried to persuade Sammy not to
marry actress May Britt until after the1960 election because he was
afraid it would affect the vote for his other close pal John F. Kennedy.
