GOP Group Tweets About ‘Negro Problem’

The Seventh Congressional District Republicans, a GOP group in western Minneapolis, has apologized for a tweet referencing the state Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party’s attempts to “deal with a their self-created #negroproblem.” After being publicly criticized by the DFL chairman for a “racist and bigoted” message, the group deleted the tweet. GOP Chairman Keith Downey said there is now a “Twitter moratorium” for members of the group.
