‘Patriotic’ Duck Dynasty Fans Throw Millions to Communist/Atheist China to Support Phil’s Homophobia!by John Prager |
Duck Dynasty's Phil Robertson recently "free speeched" his way into the unemployment line during
an interview in which he spouted gay hate speech (handily attempting to
hide his bigotry behind his religion by mixing in some Bible verses) in
an interview with GQ--and it's actually helping the "Bottom Line." Show supporters have been literally throwing money at Walmart (and Communist China) in support of this "Real American Christian" good old boy.
While
conservatives have likened him to the Pope, Martin Luther King Junior,
and Rosa Parks (the typical response to racism and homophobia), the rest
of us have been enjoying his downfall--and, of course, the conservative
temper tantrum.
Phil's unwashed squad of khaki-clad yuppies-turned-Bible-banging fauxbillies have
refused to do the show without him, supporting irrational bigotry over
money (which is a testament to the strength of their love of hatred).
We'd
like to say that they are losing sponsors left and right, but they are
not. In fact, Duck Disaster's largest sponsor, Under Armor, has pledged
support--though they deny that Robertson's views reflect the company's
(they apparently are simply willing to tolerate it for the money). Other
companies, like Cracker Barrel are pulling "some" items from the
shelves--but even Cracker Barrel is not backing away entirely. A
spokesman for Cracker Barrel, after it was reported that the restaurant
was pulling Duck Dynasty merchandise from its shelves, assured the
public that only items that "might offend" some of their guests were
pulled.
Fans
are flocking to Walmart to purchase camouflage shirts, mugs toys, and
other paraphernalia. Somehow, to the show's "Christian" apologists, hate speech sells. Walmart has quite literally sold out of many, if not most, of its Duck Dynasty products online:
Wow, who says that being a racist d*ck isn't profitable? Phil and friends are laughing all the way to the bank!
Now,
one might assume that these "Patriots" would work fervently to assure
that those who purchased their products could be assured that they were
made in America--in fact, if they were genuine they would insist on it. Unfortunately, that is not the case.
Let's take a look at some of these "real American" producks.
We
wonder if Duck Dynasty realizes that it is supporting a Communist
country that is predominantly non-Christian. By supporting Walmart, the
mindless ducking hordes of vapid morons are also choosing to promote
bigotry over fair wages and worker's rights.
Walmart accounts for about half
of overall Duck Dynasty merchandise sold, with Duck Dynasty themed
items sold in 13 departments. Product sales are expected to exceed $400
million by the end of 2013. Would it not make more sense to have
capitalized on the show's success by bringing some of it home? Louisiana
is one of the poorest of our states, and millions of Americans are out
of work.
Wouldn't ensuring that every single product is made in the U.S.A be the Christian--the American thing
to do? Bigoted remarks aside, these frauds claim they love America--but
have allowed the almighty dollar to trump "God" and "Country."
