Homophobic Bigot Ken Cuccinelli Offended That People Think He’s A Homophobic Bigot (Video)
by John Prager
CNN Crossfire host Van Jones had some harsh words for Governor Jan Brewer regarding her state's shiny, new Jim Crow law.
[box

is simply this: We got rid of six words. Those six words [are] 'We don't
serve your kind here.' Now, we take it for granted today but it took a
civil war and the civil rights movement a century of struggle to get rid
of those six words. Now you have some folks in your state--they want to
take those six words, wrap them in religious garb, and re-inscribe them
back into American society."[/box]
Jones
and child labor advocate Newt Gingrich were joined by CNN contributor
and gay Christian LZ Granderson and failed Virginia gubernatorial
candidate Ken Cuccinelli(R) to chat about the law--and Cuccinelli
doesn't quite seem to understand that if you regularly make homophobic
remarks people tend to characterize you as a bigot.
Granderson
asked Cuccinelli, “Are you wrapping your homophobia around the Bible
and trying to find scripture to justify your homophobia?” He reminded
him that “Just because you’re uncomfortable with something does not
mean it’s against your religious faith.”
Cuccinelli
took offense at the "homophobe" accusation. “And just because you
disagree with me doesn’t mean I’m a homophobe, does it?” he replied.
“Will you agree to that? Will you have an intellectual disagreement that
isn’t personalized?”
We
all know your history,” Granderson shot back at the homophobic former
Virginia attorney general. “You’ve made several remarks over the years
that I would classify as homophobic. I would say you, personally, are
probably a homophobe. ”
Undeterred
by references to his many verifiable bigoted statements, Cuccinelli
whined, “So you walked in at the beginning of the discussion and said
I’m a bigot, so my position doesn’t count."
