‘It’s time to start impeaching judges’ for marriage equality

Last week, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) said “it’s time to start impeaching” the Supreme Court justices who helped ensure that same-sex marriage became the law of the land; a ruling he calls an “illegal decision” in which the court decided to play God.
Talking with Floridian radio host Joyce Kaufman, Gohmert claimed — incorrectly — that church-state separation decisions in the ’50s and ’60s established that “you can’t talk about God in schools and public places.” He thinks the Supreme Court did something far more egregious with Obergefell:
“The Supreme Court said, ‘You know, we told you you couldn’t use ‘God,’ now here’s the new line: We’re God. We are your God. Forget what God, Moses, Jesus ever said, we are your God now, the five of us in the majority, you do as we tell you.’”
He then once again asked for Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Elena Kagan to be summarily impeached for their participation in the decision:
“We have two of them who had done same-sex marriages before they participated, they were disqualified, but they illegally participated, it’s an illegal decision, and it’s time to start impeaching judges and remove them from the Supreme Court.”
Meanwhile, Kaufman — sidestepping her chance to play devil’s advocate for the opportunity to be totally repulsive instead — said Ginsburg and Kagan should be disqualified for “being gay.”

How is it possible that a right-wing terrorist, like this Louie Gohmert, is able to even think of impeaching Supreme Court Justices for ruling as the highest court of the United States of America that every American citizen is equal under the law, and is entitled to all rights that are in the Constitution of the United States of America?
ReplyDeleteThat mister terrorist Louie Gohmert feels a ruling to be wrong is his problem I think, as it would be other people's personal problem when the same Supreme Court Justices would rule in favor of these right-wing terrorists!
The fact that mister lawmaker/terrorist Louie Gohmert has a faith, a believe that tells him that God (whomever or whatever that is) is against equality for all American citizens is also his personal problem, a problem that he needs to solve behind the closed doors of his home, together with his no doubt deeply loving wife (who's activities no doubt are existing of organizing and having diners for poor people who are suffering under the decisions by her right-wing terrorist husband, without any regard to the cause of the people's suffering)!
The fact that mister lawmaker/terrorist Louie Gohmert feels that certain people of certain groups should be denied the same rights as he enjoys should be reason enough to impeach him, or at least bring him before the Ethics Commission of Congress, on the charge of treason of and to the Constitution of the United States of America!
Anyone who can explain to me, a simple human being, how Supreme Court Justices can be impeached because they ruled that every American citizen is equal under the law of the United States of America is more then welcome to enlighten me, such a person is urged to step forward even and to tell me, again a simple human being with no knowledge on or about the mental state of this so-called lawmaker Louie Gohmert!
According to the Constitution of the United States of America the Supreme Court of the United States of America exists to rule on and in matters that are legally unclear to the citizens, and the SCOTUS is the last source and last institution that rules, not even the Congress has the right to over-rule SCOTUS.
Anyone?
