Ghana religious sect leader blames fires at markets on gay sex
A self-styled prophet in Ghana has said that God is starting fires at market places because he is upset about gay sex

The self-self styled prophet of a Ghanaian church is blaming a recent
spate of fires at markets in Accra on gay sex and other sins – saying
the fires are divine punishment from God.
Prophet Kwabena Tawiah of the Church of Rabbi claims to have predicted last year that God would punish Ghana with fires and told Ghana’s Peace FM that God would continue to judge Ghana with fires until July unless people in the country turn to God.
Fires have broken out at the Konkomba, Dome, Kantamanto, Makola and Sodom and Gomorrah markets in Accra in recent weeks.
Tawiah said the fires were God’s punishment for unbridled homosexuality, murders, stealing and other sins that were occurring in the West African nation.
‘The prophecy impressed on Ghanaians to genuinely renounced their deeds and seek God’s face because if care is not taken, there will be fire outbreaks throughout all year through,’ Tawiah said.
‘It will be unbelievable and we will be shocked. We do not want it to happen. So, I will plead; it’s left with just a month, let’s seize the opportunity to plead with the God of the country.’
Tawiah said that God was targeting markets because they were places where money was stored.
‘We should go on our knees and pray for Ghana,’ Tawiah said.
‘We should set aside a month and strongly intercede for Ghana or else from now to July, everywhere money is amassed or hoarded will be burnt down.’
Tawiah urged people to get down on their knees and plead with God to stop setting the fires.
As recently as April two leading Ghanaian high schools expelled 53 students for alleged homosexual behavior.
Homosexuality is illegal in Ghana and punished with up to 3 years imprisonment.
