AL-KHALIL - An Israeli court sentenced on Thursday a Palestinian student at Abu Dis University in occupied Jerusalem to 10 years imprisonment, and a fine of 2,000 Jordanian dinars.
The student Alaa Jamal Hanaisha, affiliated with Islamic Student Bloc, was arrested for allegedly trying to stab an Israeli soldier near Ma'ale Adumim settlement in occupied Jerusalem.
The Islamic Student Bloc has condemned the Israeli court's decision, considering it an unfair decision that aims to liquidate the bloc from the West Bank universities.
In the same context, Ofer Military Court has extended the detention of student Mohamed Saqr for 12 more days to complete interrogation at al-Maskoubiya detention center.
Israeli occupation forces have also transferred the student Islam Rifai from Jalama interrogation center to Ofer prison.
