Jean Paul Gaultier: The world-famous fashion designer will create an exclusive illustration for the Gay Star News Pride 2014 bags.
You can walk home from pride in the UK with an exclusive Jean Paul Gaultier bag for free, thanks to Gay Star News.
The globally celebrated gay fashion designer will be illustrating the Gay Star News Pride cotton tote bags, we can proudly announce.
The limited edition bags, sponsored by Marriott, will be handed out at British LGBTI pride events in London, Manchester, Brighton and Birmingham this summer.
They are entirely free and will be packed with goodies and special offers from Gay Star News clients.
The design, created exclusively by Jean Paul Gaultier for the GSN bags, will celebrate his work as London’s Barbican holds a major exhibition marking his contribution to fashion.
Scott Nunn, director of Gay Star News, said: ‘To have one of the world’s most famous designers for our pride bags is incredibly exciting. They will be, quite simply, the must-have item at pride this year.
‘From Madonna’s cone-bra to his perfume ranges and from Eurotrash to his iconic nautical designs, Gaultier has huge influence and we are delighted to be celebrating him at pride.’
Leila Hasham, Barbican’s exhibition curator, said: ‘We are delighted to be working with Gay Star News and gay pride. This annual event is an important reminder to celebrate diversity and individuality and the collaboration with Jean Paul Gaultier is a perfect match.’
Openly gay, Gaultier is one of the world’s foremost fashion designers, famous for his haute couture and pret-a-porter ranges.
Gay Star News will be revealing more details of how you can collect your pride bag soon. They were a big hit in 2013 and are sure to be even more popular in 2014 thanks to Gaultier’s design.
The exhibition at the Barbican in London, The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk, will run from 9 April to 25 August.
