U.S. Rep. Louie Gohmert, who previously compared LGBT advocates to Hitler's Third Reich, has devised a sick, Survivor-like test to prove who has the right to marry.
The Republican congressman from Texas, addressing a youth group in Washington, D.C., proposed stranding gay and straight couples on an island for a century or two, in order to let nature decide which unions are “preferred,” reports Right Wing Watch.

“We could take four heterosexual couples, married, and put them on an island where they have everything they need to sustain life,” he said.
“Then, take four all-male couples and put them on an island with all they need to sustain life, take four couples of women, married, and put them on an island, and let’s come back in 100 to 200 years and see which one nature says is the preferred marriage,” he concluded, essentially arguing that the ability to procreate should be a deciding factor in a legal union.
Gohmert also said Supreme Court Justices Elena Kagan and Ruth Bader Ginsburg “ought to be impeached” for officiating the unions of same-sex couples before the Obergefell v. Hodges decision, which legalized same-sex marriage in the United States.
“Until Congress shows that we do have some say in the Constitution over the courts, the abuses are just going to get worse,” he bemoaned.
