A New York appeals court denied Donald Trump’s bid to to throw out a
lawsuit charging that his online education program, Trump University,
was a fraud. A four-judge panel unanimously ruled the state attorney
general’s office is “authorized to bring a cause of action for fraud.”
The GOP presidential frontrunner and his lawyer claim the suit isn’t
viable because of an expired statute of limitations. The state’s case
alleges that Trump intentionally misled at least 5,000 people in the
U.S. through “deceptive and unlawful practices.” |
