Calif. assemblywoman comes out as lesbian
Democratic California Assemblywoman Cathleen Galgiani this week told reporters she is gay, saying recent news about bullying and teen suicide prompted her to go public. "She joins an esteemed group of gay and lesbian California lawmakers who have worked tirelessly for their constituents and for LGBT Californians across the state," said Chuck Wolfe, president and CEO of the Gay & Lesbian Victory Fund.
