Individuals [police officers?] desecrate bodies of killed suspected terrorists in morgue

On January 15, two men were killed in Verviers, Belgium, in an anti-terrorism raid.
Local police had put the men under investigation, on suspicion of planning a Charlie Hebdo-style terrorist attack.
Six months later, pictures have surfaced of two men in the autopsy room, partying and popping champagne over their corpses.
The pictures, said to be selfies, were found this week following an internal investigation within Belgian police.
They had been circulating for weeks on the intranet of the ‘radical Islam’ counterterrorist faction of the force.
Liège attorney general Christian De Valkeneer told Belgian Newspaper DH that the identity of the men in the pictures was unknown, and did not rule out the possibility that they could be police officers.
Though they are wearing surgical masks in the snaps, De Valkenner said that the men weren’t the medical examiners in charge of the bodies, and that it would not be hard to identify them.
It has, however, been confirmed that the two dead bodies pictures definitely are of Soufiane Amghar and Khalid Ben Larbi.
Belgian police will hold a press conference later today to discuss the issue.
