Colombia: As Court Deadline Passes, Gay and Lesbian Couples Seek Legal Recognition (The Washington Blade)
A court deadline came and went yesterday in Colombia, and was no action for the legislature, gays and lesbians are now entitled to the same recognitions as straight couples in the country. The only question is what that will look like.

Nigeria: 92% Support Criminalization of Same-Sex Weddings (Pink News)
In a depressing new poll out of Nigeria, a huge percentage support a proposed bill that would criminalize same-sex couples who try to get married.

USA: Prop 8, DOMA Updates, Speculation, and Analysis (various)
Expectations are building for Monday, the last currently announced day of rulings from the US Supreme Court. Although it's very likely that the court will announce an additional day or two for rulings later in the week.

California, USA: Gay Activists Pledge Ballot Repeal of Prop 8 if Supreme Court Fails to Overturn It (The Los Angeles Times)
The US Supreme Court is widely expected to overturn California's Prop 8 next week, even if they do it on a technicality. But if the court declines to do so, marriage equality activists plan to take the issue to the ballot again.
