Kelly Osbourne boycotts Southwest Airlines over lesbian kiss furore

Singer and media personality Kelly Osbourne has publicly boycotted Southwest Airlines after they were accused of shunning L Word star Leisha Hailey for kissing another woman.

Singer and media personality Kelly Osbourne has publicly boycotted Southwest Airlines after they were accused of shunning L Word star Leisha Hailey for kissing another woman.

The move is the latest development in the on-going public PR spat between the airline and the star.

As reported on PinkPaper.com earlier this week, the furore erupted via micro-blogging site Twitter after Hailey accused the company of banning her from the flight after publicly kissing her female partner, Uh Huh Her bandmate Camila Grey.

She wrote: "Since when is showing affection towards someone you love illegal? Boycott @SouthwestAir if you are gay. They don't like us."

Now, Osbourne has joined the campaign in support of Hailey.

Earlier today she Tweeted: "Dear @SouthwestAir ur archaic thinking makes me sick! ur discrimination towards ur passengers is deplorable! i will Never fly southwest! (sic)

"America is supposed to be the land of the free and the home of the brave! so why when someone tries 2 be brave & free do u knock them down?"
Southwest Airlines' position remains the same - they insist that Hailey was removed from the flight for being verbally abusive and not for kissing Grey.

“Additional reports from our employees and customers onboard Flight 2274 during a stop in El Paso on Sunday now confirm profane language was being used loudly by two passengers,” the airline said.

“Although we have reports of what customers characterise as an excessive public display of affection, ultimately their aggressive reaction led to their removal from the aircraft.”
