Edmund Lazarus, a hedge fund boss who is an old friend of Michael Gove,
has submitted a planning application for a 16,000ft extension to his
£16million villa in Holland Park, west London. The basement complex is
set to include a swimming pool, gym, yoga studio, wine cellar and
private cinema, and is estimated to cost around £10million. It will also
incorporate a lift which automatically transports vehicles from the
driveway to an underground 'car stacker' with space for six vehicles.
