More than 50 years after the Profumo Affair, there is a clamour for all
the papers to be made public. In the absence, speculation has linked
figures such as the Duke of Edinburgh, left, to the scandal. The
revelation that Secretary of State for War John Profumo had slept with
Christine Keeler rocked the Establishment at the time, helped by court
cases involving Mandy Rice-Davies, right, a friend of Keeler's who was
also drawn in.
