New Study Proves: Most People Think Democrats are More ‘Ethical’ Than Republicans
by AATTP
In a new Pew research study
released this month, polls show that the American people view the
Democratic Party as more “trustworthy” than the modern day GOP.
The
study revealed that Democrats are out in front on a wide range of
issues, with a 25 point lead on the question of whether or not they’re
willing to work across the aisle to solve problems. Democrats were also
ahead 20 points as to whether or not they’re concerned with the needs of
regular people.
In addition, respondents felt that the GOP harbored more extremists in their ranks and are more influenced by lobbyists.
By
a margin of 10%, more respondents felt that Democrats govern in a more
ethical and responsible way overall than Republicans. The survey is
significant because it truly shows the net results of the GOP’s hard
push to the right in recent years. With the combined effect of draconian
bills attacking women’s reproductive rights and right wing religious
extremism, the study reaffirms the notion that attempts to cater to the
fringe elements that show up at voting booths has failed for the most
part.
Even
elements within the GOP have recognized the losses and have responded
with numerous “outreach” strategies. But even these have failed miserably, with prominent voices in the party continuing to vomit forth rhetoric that alienates women and minorities.
In
addition to their failure on social issues, the GOP compounds their
image problems with an economic ideology that favors corporations and
the rich over the poor and working class. As economic issues continue to
squeeze the average citizen and social issues continue to evolve, most
analysts and pundits (even some who are conservative) agree that the
modern day GOP is doomed if it doesn’t at least find it’s way back to
some sort of ideological center.
